Dr. Olapade Abiodun Olaoye is a Lecturer in the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He holds a PhD in Public Health Nutrition (2024), MSc. in Human Nutrition (2014), and B.Tech in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

He is a public health nutritionist with strong research and programmatic experience spanning academia, community nutrition, and development practice. His research interests focus on dietary practices, micronutrient adequacy, functional and indigenous foods, nutrition-related non-communicable diseases, and nutrition among vulnerable populations. His doctoral research examined the nutrient bioavailability and therapeutic potential of Termitomyces robustus in the treatment of metabolic disorders.

Before his academic appointment at OAU, Dr. Olaoye built a robust profile as a Nutrition Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and Case Management Consultant for several high-impact public health initiatives, including USAID and CDC-funded projects. He has made substantial contributions to the design, monitoring, and evaluation of maternal and child health and non-communicable disease interventions, with research outputs published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and ongoing studies in nutrition and public health in Nigeria. He is a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria and is actively engaged in teaching, research, and community-oriented public health nutrition initiatives.
